After closing in our two-story foyer we had the option of hiring a drywaller to make it look like your typical foyer. But we love DIY and we love saving money even more. So we went to @Lowe’s Home Improvement and bought all
the primed, 6 inch MDF that they had in supply. It was 100 times easier than drywall and hundreds of dollars cheaper.

As you saw in the video it didn’t stop there. To cover the seam we constructed a 12 foot barn beam made out of 1 X 6 pine project boards. Then we used our leftover MDF boards and put up wainscoting. The wallpaper was a risky design choice but it paid off in a big way.
